The Spaniards tend to speak loudly

This is a funny fact about Spain and Spaniards. You can easily identify a Spaniard anywhere, because they are the ones that speak louder. It is part of the Spanish personality and it is something that contributes to create that special atmosphere.

Siesta

The well-known siesta is a 30 min – 1 hour nap in the heat of the afternoon. It is a popular tradition practiced in Spain; a chance for farmers to sleep after a heavy lunch and to avoid working during the hottest hours of the day.

Fiesta

A proper fiesta is as needed as a siesta. There is a fiesta almost every week! The reason? Each city throws a party to honor its patron saint.  People go out onto the street to celebrate with food, alcohol and music.

Pre-party

Young Spaniards do botellón before they go to a club (drinking much cheaper drinks at someone’s place rather than paying triple the normal cost of a drink inside a club).

The flamenco

When we think about flamenco, we suddenly imagine two Spanish people dancing. However, only a few people in Spain know how to dance well (although many people try). It’s a job only for professionals.

Bars

Spain has the highest number of bars, restaurants and coffee shops in the European Union, approximately 344.426!

Old people

Surprisingly, the older population goes out very often, and is always extremely elegant.
